Accessibility Statement
Last Updated September 25, 2026
Bloc Life exists for people of every ability, and our website should work for everyone who visits it. This statement explains the standard we build to, how we check our work and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
The Standard We Build To
We build this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard most widely used for accessible websites. We treat any barrier we find as something to fix, not something to explain away.
We do our best to make every page work correctly with screen readers. Pages use clear landmarks and headings, links and buttons say where they go or what they do, every form field has a label, and messages such as a sent form or a changed setting are announced when they appear.
What the Site Includes
- A “Skip to main content” link and a clear heading structure on every page.
- Menus, forms, carousels and dialogs that work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Text descriptions for meaningful photos.
- Visible labels on every form field, with required fields and errors that do not rely on color alone.
- Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, desktops and enlarged text.
- Reduced animation when your device asks for it, and support for high-contrast display modes.
- Program information and navigation that remain available when JavaScript is turned off.
How We Check Our Work
Automated checks run on every update to the site. We also check pages by hand with a keyboard, with browser zoom and with reduced-motion settings, at phone, tablet and desktop sizes. Automated tools catch only some problems, so manual review is part of every change. We are constantly auditing and improving the site to make it more accessible for everyone who uses it.
Content From Other Services
Some features come from other providers: the Givebutter donation form, the YouTube video on Our Network, the Cloudflare security check on our forms and the map tiles in our gym finder. We choose these services with accessibility in mind, but we do not control their design. If one of them gets in your way, contact us and we will help you another way, such as taking your gift or question by phone.
Tell Us About a Barrier
If any part of this website is hard to use, we want to know. Email [email protected] or call (712) 292-0215. Let us know which page you were on and what happened, and we will help you get the information or finish what you set out to do.
This statement is effective as of Friday, September 25, 2026.
Help More Athletes Find a Place to Belong
Your monthly or one-time gift to the Bloc Life Collective puts adaptive athletes on the gym floor, with a coach and a community behind them.
