Coached Movement
A coach adapts every exercise to how you move and what you want to achieve.

No matter how you move, you belong in the gym. AAIM coaches start with what you can do, build every session around your goals and progress you from there. You don’t need any fitness experience to begin.
A coach adapts every exercise to how you move and what you want to achieve.
A steady routine gives you time to learn each movement and see your progress.
Train at a local gym alongside people who show up for each other.
Three steps to your first class, what your first 12 weeks cost and how we plan around your needs.

Complete the intake form, meet Bloc Life staff online, then choose and visit a participating gym. From there, you start training.

A complimentary scholarship covers your first 12 weeks, so cost is never the barrier to getting started. After that, you may qualify for a need-based scholarship to keep training.

Talk through the accommodations you need with Bloc Life staff during your online intake meeting, then review them with your coach on your first visit. You’ll know what to expect before you train.

Your coach learns your goals and adjusts every movement so you can take part fully and keep progressing. You train alongside other adaptive athletes who push each other forward, and every milestone you reach is yours. You never work toward your goals alone.
AAIM (Adaptive Athletes in Motion) is Bloc Life’s adaptive functional fitness program for people with physical disabilities. Experienced, certified coaches at affiliate gyms lead every class and adapt each exercise to the athlete.
No. Athletes start at every level, including people who have never trained before. Tell Bloc Life about your current activity, goals and support needs, and we’ll help you find the right starting point.
Your coach adjusts the movement, load and pace so you can take part and still be challenged. Every athlete is different, so we talk through how you move and the support you need before your first class.
Ask about class times, enrollment, costs, equipment and building access, since these vary by gym. Bloc Life can help you connect with a gym and get your questions answered.
Use Find an Affiliated Gym to see participating locations near you. Then contact the gym or talk to Bloc Life, and we’ll help you plan your first visit.
Your monthly or one-time gift to the Bloc Life Collective puts adaptive athletes on the gym floor, with a coach and a community behind them.
